The reality of Texas green energy is so detached from the political rhetoric from politicians... The state making the most wind energy has leaders in the capital demonizing it while the state finances (and citizens) clearly benefit. I wish the voters of Texas paid more attention and called out such obvious gaslighting :(

If they would decentralize these battery installations and put a battery plant in each neighborhood, it would help with storm-related blackouts.

Storm related blackouts are due to downed power lines largely in the last mile of delivery, not a shortage of available electricity. A battery installation in your neighborhood won't help when the lines in your neighborhood are down.

That said, Texas's low barrier to entry has enabled more small scale solar PV and battery installations I think than any other state, and they're rapidly building them out.

But then the power companies would lose a few million! Hookers and blow ain't cheap, and inflation has hit these millionaires hard.

"...while Texas politicians, actively warmed by the batteries renewable power, openly curse and demonize their existence"

Friend, you need to go read about the great Texas freezes, where people literally die alone in the freezing cold while Ted Cruz and his wife silently flee to the Ritz Carlton in Mexico. Then go read about ERCOT who makes some of the decisions that lead to those moments.

Damn Texas is so woke.
