I used the Video DownloadHelper plugin for Firefox, the same plugin exists for Chrome too and should work. I'm sure you can find some websites that let you simply paste the URL too and download the files that way, if you don't want to download a plugin.

Had a look in my usual areas and found listings but no sources. Listings were only added recently though (11/30/23) so maybe international distribution is being organised.

Can you not VPN into China or one of their territories?
That might work. ProtonVPN has servers in HK
Tried from Mullvad’s exit nodes in HK and Singapore. Didn’t seem to work.
Didn't work for PIA either on their China endpoint either
