I guarantee Metroid Prime 4 was delayed to be a launch title for their next console. They saw it was the most talked about title when they unveiled it and moved it to be a system seller.

If they don't release it for the current Switch, I'm going to pirate it. It's 95% of the reason I bought a Switch in the first place.

It'll be on Switch. They already did all the work, developing it for that hardware. They did this a few times with Zelda games.

Cool, so something in line with PS4 hardware?

The Switch launched in 2017 with a bit worse than Xbox One (2013) hardware. The PS4 is almost twice as powerful, and the PS4 Pro is like 4-5x as powerful, so probably something in that range.
