They refer repeatedly to this as a fleeting trend. That's shit journalism (but most entertainment journalism is). You don't know how long a trend will last until it's already fading.

Crackhead or fashionista? Heroin sheik or actual junkie? It's hard to tell with these models.

If Jenna Ortega wants to look like Marilyn Manson, that's cool I guess but her celebrity is based on looking like a baby faced goth girl, not an ugly shock star.
