Probably made a good deal selling the data they harvested off to the highest bidder(s), not to mention the projected revenue from targeting ads at this demographic.

Truly despicable how openly two-faced these megacorps are with this "protect the children!" schlock they're using to force us to give them even more of our personal information while actively going against the very principles they claim are the reason for such invasive practices.

Googled earned about $325B in 2024. $30M is about .009% of that. If you earn $50K per year, it would be like you had to pay $4.50 for committing a crime.
