Imagine if all the money the US spends on its military went towards space exploration.
That's the future they stole from us, the one that was promised to us as kids
Mixed feelings about it. One common thing in newer sci-fi i can absolutely agree is CAPITALISM IN SPACE IS BAD IDEA.
So despite appreciating things like colossal advances in astronomy, every failure of US space program is a success for mankind especially now when there is alternative again.
That is a fair point, it looks like China will dominate the new space race and that's definitely a better option for humanity.
Or a Babylon 5 rotating tube
Good, grounded speculative fiction genuinely gives me hope and excitement for the humanity of the 2500s-on, or so.
