TBF the cutaway could totally exist and just be hard to find in 23 seasons and counting, especially with the amount of content differing between the Adult Swim airings, the Fox airings, and the steaming services.

True. Despite what they told me when I was a kid, everything on the internet is in fact not permanent.

It's always what you don't want.

I re-watched Anger Management recently and the version I watched was not the one I had seen previously. The original I saw had a scene where you find out Sandler is in the ladies room at the end of the scene. The one I watched recently cut off that part at the end and the scene ends a bit differently. I could imagine it happens from time to time if a joke or scene is a little too problematic so they tone it down on tv or when it's re-released.

One steamed ham, please.

There might be stuff that is too spicy and only on the DVDs they sold.

May not be in the streaming version

I think you mean steaming version.

Family guy only had 3 seasons and this scene wasn’t in any of them.

Completely agreed. Only seasons 17, 18, and 19 are canon in my mind.

Nah it's 10,16 and 20

Fun fact: Kurt didn't own a gun, the shotgun he killed himself with was bought by his friend Dylan Carson of the band Earth. So, even in this silly story about Nevermind lyrics being taken literally, he wasn't lying. The song was also years before the gun was bought. Unrelatedly, I am fun at parties.

He didn't kill himself tho, that was Spotify goons.

I thought the joke was going to be Kurt saying he doesn't have a gun and then shooting himself...

That's why it's a good example of misdirection in comedy.

A week ago I could swore that was Stephen King the one typing and saying "scary sttuff scary stuff", but it wasn't.

[–] toynbee@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

But it was? Or rather, apparently, his ghost writer.

Isn't the entire Family Guy show a steaming pile version?
