Both countries have their issues, but certainly Xi Jinping is more trustworthy than Donald Trump.

[–] juliebean@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 months ago

that is a very high bar, as they say in the limbo biz.

Let's start with: governments are untrustworthy being made of people

So who told you china is trustworthy?

These all sound good for the Chinese as a people, my question was about the government being trustworthy in what it tells people.

1st and 3rd links seem potentially good, the wage increase...you must know that's a terrible comparison.

I mean, all government sponsored sources are going to be biased. No media should be trusted wholesale

[–] Fancy_Gecko@lemmy.ml 8 points 3 months ago

only one of the governments is run by a bunch of pedophiles being blackmailed by mossad

Is it just the US saying not to trust the Chinese government?

[–] Amnesigenic@lemmy.ml 5 points 3 months ago (2 children)

The US and our lackeys, yes

[–] Empathy@beehaw.org 0 points 3 months ago

Who are those lackeys?

[–] balance8873@lemmy.myserv.one 0 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

But don't you define lackeys as being people who also say china isn't trustworthy? Ie it's a circular logic you seem to got there, based on past ml experiences.

[–] Amnesigenic@lemmy.ml 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It would only be circular if their agreement on China was the sole indication of their subservience to US interests, that is not the case

[–] Empathy@beehaw.org 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

what are some of the other indicators?

[–] Amnesigenic@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 months ago

US military bases

Who told you not to trust anything China says?

My inherent distrust of authorities?

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml 10 points 3 months ago

Do you also distrust climate scientists? Doctors? I think you should hold healthy skepticism for claims, but to outright distrust anything China says just because they have a state is overkill.

Everybody Sucks Here. I experience it first hand on a daily basis.

He said he doesn't trust both the US and China, he never says someone told him anything. I'm thinking false dilemma?
