Thanks to advice from users here, I finally installed Jackett & installed the Jackett plugin for Qbittorrent, and have been enjoying Jackett's abilities.

But I have experienced the following issue:

  1. I do a search in Qbittorrent (using the Jackett plugin) and my results include hits from the Internet Archive.
I click to download one but there are zero seeds and it doesn't start to download.
  2. Then I open the relevant Internet Archive page, download the .torrent from there and open it (clicking yes to "already in list, merge trackers etc").
It immediately finds the seeds from archive.org & starts to download very quickly.

Qbittorrent showing seeds from archive.org
Archive.org seeds not seen when downloading from Qbittorrent Jackett search result. They only appeared after manually finding & opening the .torrent file from the IA web page.

  • Why does the Qbittorrent Jackett IA search result not find the IA seeds but the IA .torrent file does?
  • Is there a way to avoid the steps of going to the IA web page, downloading the .torrent file etc and just get IA seeds directly from the Jackett search result in Qbittorrent?
