Today's game is Halo 2. All my friends have been busy with their fancy shmancy Tomodachi Life 2 that they bought. So i've been left alone. So what better to do when left alone than play Halo 2? I played the first 3 levels, and when i got too the 3rd one i decided too take the Gauss Hog up too the roof and ramp off it too get on the Scarab with it. It ended up taking multiple attempt but i pulled it off. I ended up getting it all the way too that T-Shaped hallway before getting stuck. Leaving Sgt. Stacker behind i went on my own and killed the last Elite that was blocking my way.

If you notice i'm playing at a low resolution, that's because i decided too play at the OG xbox resolution. I even went in and limited the FPS too 30 FPS. I have a old VGA monitor i would have even hooked it up too but currently i don't have a GPU that can do VGA nor do i have an adapter. I do think i want too see if it's possible too get an ancient one on my system though just too use with that monitor for retro games.

I'm gonna keep this short because it's Halo 2 and i've said lots about it before, but it really is a pretty game. It feels like a balance between CE and 3. CE is stellar gameplay, while 3 is all hype epic moments. This strikes a nice balance of both. It does feel as if it loses a bit of CE's "Acid trip" feel, but i think that serves too accentuate CE's vibe more and make it unique. 2 Feels as if it's trying to be an epic movie and i love it for that. It embodies what i think of when i think Xbox.

Same! I was up playing friendslop games (lethal company) with like 5 friends, one of them mentioned it came out and immediately hopped off to play it, and we quickly lost 2 more.

I wish Halo 2 had the time it needed to cook back when it first came out. This is likely a very hot take, but I'd probably rate it below 4 just because of how rushed and unbalanced it has always felt to me. Like the lack of weapons (what kind of halo game doesn't have the assault rifle???) and sniper jackals one-shotting you the millisecond you peek a corner in legendary.
