I would happily give more myself if they promised the game wouldn't crash to desktop at random. Because as much as I love the game, that really dampened my enthusiasm :( (and I still played thirty three hours! which really says how much I enjoy the damn game)

So, like...$20? Pretty feeble PR for their shitty boss saying more dumb shit.

I'm saying an 8 year old game isn't exactly going to be selling like hotcakes. And even if they somehow sold thousands of copies this week, $1 per still amounts to pretty much nothing considering they've made hundreds of millions off of the games. They're tossing less than a penny (that they still make 80% revenue from) at conservation and acting like it's something meaningful from them. It's a joke that does more for them than for anyone else.

I guess they mean that 1$ of each copy sold way after release may not account for much.

Although, giving the scale of the game, this may likely account for about $10000-20000, which isn't huge by any means, but isn't nothing, either

Man I hate to break it to you but 10-20k Is next to nothing in reality.

Break it down into buying power. It's a castle restoration project. How much cement, concrete, masonary does 20k actualy buy? How many days of wages would 20k pay for? Especially it probably being specialized unionized labour that would be on site.

Hell 1month crane rental would eat that 20k like nothing. And worst yet it don't matter if the crane is being used or not. Just being parked there is still charged.

I agree here, which is why I said "isn't huge by any means". It's not that KCD devs are really gonna pay up for the whole restoration project; this will barely be enough for a certain simple change.

Yet, it's, well, something.

They recently updated KCD1 with the graphics of KCD2 in a next gen update so i could see them getting some sales. But yeah, it’s already not a popular series so it won’t be a ton of sales.

For what they're charging that seems low. Full disclosure I am cheap and the only reason I didn't buy is because I don't like first person in open world

Thanks for your full disclosure. Very important information
