Self-critique is good, but as someone living in Russia I take issue with this claim.
Who would have thought fifty years of bowing to corporations and making them.more powerful than god would have this outcome?
The media keeps talking about this as if they're shocked and surprised and not as though these goals weren't all outlined before they were even elected.
If they had an ounce of decency, they would start out by saying that this is a clear pattern from the administration that goes beyond even basic regulatory capture and is genuinely kleptocracy.
The USA is the old house in a bad neighborhood the billionaires don't want to waste money fixing up. They're stripping the wiring and antique fixtures and then leaving it to rot.
At this point they're even taking the nails while they're still in the house though. They're not smart people, just sociopathic ones.
