I loved my 1600x1200 Viewsonic, used it till 2010 or so. The flicker wasn't ideal, but man the colors were so much more vibrant than shitty LCD screens of the 2000s were capable of. These days, I think Apple's fancy LCDs with HDR win on all fronts, but it took a while to get here.

Oh dang, sorry about that. I've used rclone with great results (slurping content out of Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.), but I never actually tried the Google Photos backend.

You could try using rclone's Google Photos backend. It's a command line tool, sort of like rsync but for cloud storage. https://rclone.org/

That's a stupid idea. They could just start by flying the plane higher so it's closer to the sun, then the batteries would charge up and they can fly anywhere.
