You don't see all the furry porn, extra long Kanji posts, B-Movies, witches, hackers, and cultists?

He's calling them rapists because they have the email domain rape.lol, and fascists because they have hitler.rocks. The other side says "They were edgy 4channers 10yr ago when they started."

My argument is "well you make it so hard to get a riseup acct which is the leftist equivalent, cock.li is the closest many of us could get."

Tbf the internet is entirely comprised of like 6 websites if you ask the average Joe, and I'm damn inclined to agree as someone who remembers webrings fondly and misses geocities (it's like the bell curve meme lol, and btw yes I know about neocities I'm just sleeping on it).

But I agree, if they can email they can mastodon, it's the same shit.

Evidentially mastodon makes it hard to find people on purpose unless you know their name "to stop harassment" I'm told, except I'm not sure how it does that at all and it just makes it harder to use the damn platform. That's my one real complaint about mastodon.

Nobody's, cat just don't like walks. I can show pics though if you'll just stop running!

No fair! My cat is at home, so you can't see me snuggle her little face.

Lol not gonna lie, I kinda like the smell of this grease myself! Now I just need to find a woman who uses a lot of anti seize grease at work!

(Tbh, I fully welcome it, my last ex couldn't hold down a job and it really fucked with our budget, I'm looking for someone who can this time! Stockholm syndrome jokes aside lol.)

Well "shave" and "wash" are two very different things, and you can also "brush!"

Lol I know it was for folks that don't like the scraggly bits, but there's people out there that do too, that one person's preferences are far from universal. Like, I'm not a fan of those straight bangs that were popular a while back but some people are, and that's ok too! That said I'd never tell a woman to trim her bangs though, if I like her it's for more than her hairstyle so I can put up with one I don't like.

I'm going for length, I clean it though. Currently however I must've got some aeroshell 64 in it though because the smell won't leave and I won't be able to shower for like another 8h, so I smell industrial.

Salted can be left out but not unsalted. I buy salted anyway, and it comes 4 bars to a pack, so I'll take out a bar, cut it in half, put half back in the fridge and leave half in a butter dish, replace as needed.

That's a dealbreaker, I'm out.

Hey I figured I'd make a post and see the state of current lemmy appage, since I'm looking for a good one. So far I've used Jerboa, Thunder, Eternity, and Voyager.

Eternity seems to be a dead project, it's full of bugs and hasn't recieved an update since The Exodus

Thunder seems ok and is what I'm using right now, but I can't seem to send direct messages, and can't "Don't blur NSFW preview on NSFW comms" which sucks. The messaging is the dealbreaker for me.

Voyager I used momentarily but the UI was not my favorite.

Jerboa seems OK if unpolished (which is ok to me) but I don't trust the rabid idealogue that makes it and using another instance of his site is one thing, but installing an app is another. Has it been audited to confirm lack of spyware?

Ideally through this I can find one with instance blocking, DMs, and a decent UI. What're your experiences with the current state of lemmy apps?

Personally I used to use Pidgin, but since I moved my XMPP to Gajim because of OMEMO I have no need to stay tied to it necessarily. So I'm looking to expand my horizons, and I figured here's as good a place as any to start a discussion about Linux IRC clients.

What do y'all use? Terminal, GUI, both?
