US companies != US federal government
Latter-day Saints were some of the earliest white settlers of Las Vegas, if you can believe it.
It's been a while since I tried it, so I don't recall exactly what didn't work the last time. I think it may have been driver related.
I'm definitely going to give it another go one of these days.
I have never gotten Clonezilla to work. I don't want to call it obsolete, but... it certainly isn't intuitive, and in 2024 I expect even open source software as widely known as Clonezilla to have a straightforward interface.
For simple data backups, I use Kopia.
EDIT: Apparently there's a GUI for Clonezilla called Rescuezilla. I'll have to give it a try sometime.
To be honest, it just sounds like you have an unnecessary chip on your shoulder.
Sounds like a bit of a desperate reach to attach the EEE label to this.

I mean, two whole generations are growing up without using regular computers until they enter the workforce or go to college. When I was in highschool, I was told that the generations after me would mostly be more technologically literate than anyone was at the time, but with smartphones and ChromeOS it seems that the time to learn how to use a personal computer now begins far later than it was for us millennials.
There are so many basic things about using a computer that it is no longer to expect a high school graduate to know, such as how to use a printer (or what a printer even is), how to reboot a computer, what a browser is, etc.
The first time, it was an interesting discussion. Now, it's just spam.
You're also misunderstanding. I won't deny that US companies seek profit wherever they can, even from unethical sources. I also don't doubt their involvement with law enforcement and intelligence agencies. But a company seeking profit through a partnership with the United States federal government is not the same as the totalitarian Chinese government requiring oversight of Chinese companies.
It might not seem like a big difference to you, but it's an important one to me.
