If I understand correctly, they will adjust Switch 2's production capacity based on feedback from April's Nintendo Direct and hands-on events. So I guess given the lead times required to produce consoles we should expect a release in June?

Most likely someone submitted a pull request that abused the GitHub token of the Action running on new PRs in order to edit all the other pull requests.

If you watch the PRs history, you can see that the user github-actions edited them. This user is the default one when a GitHub Action (the pipeline OP refers to) alters the repo. So someone probably submitted a pull request abusing the GitHub token when the Action ran on their PR.

In addition to the BIOS settings, I had to create a systemd service that prevents Linux from disabling Wake-on-LAN on shutdown.

This is taking No Nut November to a whole new level

Yeah, I use Caddy for that, as I only use DNS-01 for local-only services.

I have been using BunkerWeb for the past 4 years and have been mostly happy with it. Its default settings are sometimes a bit agressive but you can change those globally or service per service.

I encrypted my professional laptop's drive in order to prevent access to company data and code in case of theft. And I'll probably encrypt my personal laptop as well because the SSH key can access company code.

As for the desktop, I didn't and probably never will, because theft is less likely and that would be a pain to handle for nightly backups (it is turned on with Wake-on-LAN and then a cron backs up my home directory to my NAS).

Finally, I won't encrypt my NAS as well for the same reason: it would quickly become a hassle as I would have to manually decrypt the drives every time it boots after a power outage.

Most of the time archive.today gets the work done

It also offers a URL to get a snapshot from a given URL: http://archive.is/newest/http://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/piracy

Looking for UPS suggestion (lemmy.blackeco.com)
submitted 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) by BlackEco@lemmy.blackeco.com to c/selfhosted@lemmy.world

Hello,

I have been owning an APC Back-UPS BX1600MI for a little under two years and have been encountering issues with it recently: the battery failed in August, I had to RMA and the replacement one is stuck on battery power while plugged to the mains since last night.

From what I gathered online, this model is plagued with issues, so I'm looking for another one.

My requirements are:

  • Purchasable in the EU
  • Has a variant with FR or DE plugs
  • Can be monitored with NUT over USB or Ethernet
  • At least 900VA capacity but if I can get the same capacity as currently (1600VA) for about 200€ I would

Thanks a lot!

EDIT: The UPS is fine, it turns out my street's transformer had an issue and only provided 135V instead of the expected 230V, which means that the UPS was on battery for a valid reason. What lead me to believe that the UPS was at fault was that every other appliances seemed to work fine.

Researchers recently found a vulnerability in the way DNS resolvers handle DNSSEC validation that allow attackers to DoS resolvers with a single DNS request

It is highly recommended to upgrade your resolvers to the following versions:

His claims are quickly debunked in the article, as the true reason is, obviously, protecting their IP and subscription model
