There is no karma on Lemmy, no reason to stay attached

Is that me? Ha ha

[–] Blaze@reddthat.com 3 points 5 months ago

Great, thanks!

Oh that would be great!

For the movies bot, do you plan to use it for !movies@lemm.ee , !movies@lemmy.world , both?

We've been trying to have regular threads on !movies@lemm.ee , but we could definitely use a bot to track them more closely

Ideally the automated post would also pull the teams name from a source and put them in the threads titles

Lemm.ee is the second by monthly active users

Thank you for this

It's not that active (for such a generalist topic) and I always thought because it was on lemmy.ml.

But as I said, personal finance communities probably gain to be on countries instances to be relevant to their audiences

[–] Blaze@reddthat.com 8 points 5 months ago

Indeed, defederation as the instance level should really be a a last resort, especially now that we have user-level muting of instances.

I’m not into politics myself and it drives me crazy that we can’t rely on fine communities because they are on instances defederated by big instances because of their political views.

To be honest it's not always politics, Beehaw didn't defederate for political reasons but lack of moderation tools

You're welcome!

Damn, I had forgotten about that

I don’t feel like I’m being secluded, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. I have seen hate for .ml users and hexbear users, and I really don’t get it. The fediverse shouldn’t be segregating users based on what instance they’re in. That’s like saying all US citizens are awful because they live there.

I agree with you for Lemmy.ml

I'm not so sure about hexbear, people don't randomly end up there
