Complete wipe. And it was easy without any hassle out of the box.

I have Bazzite running my Legion Go. The experience is so much better in its Steam Deck like frontend than the Windows 11/Legion App combo. And the desktop mode makes it a fully functioning desktop PC as well, if it is needed. All in all one of the smoothest experiences in terms of switching to Bazzite.
Same here. I have a 3600X with 32GB RAM and a 3070ti. I see no sense in upgrading for a performance boost that I have no need for. I mostly play indie games and AA Titles. And even graphically heavier hitters like Space Marine 2, Wukong and The First Descendant run fine on 3440x1440.
Before Playstation 6 and Xbox Series X MK. 2 Y Type Z (or whatever MS will name that) i don't think there will be a significant need to upgrade.
Most of the flag ship titles of this generation run perfectly playable on most mid tier gaming PCs and laptops. And the PC handheld market is also cutting into the traditional PC gamer market as well. Things like the steam deck, legion go or ally x all have taken away a share of people that would have usually bought an upgrade by now.
To be honest... I would pay for a beer or two just to watch that.
I bought a cheap 55" 4k. The "smartest" functions are menus for color correction, sound and choice of input source. It runs perfectly fine on my desktop as an additional 4k monitor with 60hz. And it doesn't try to phone home.
Yes. And our back tells us sometimes.
I think he meant more consoles with SteamOS.
I'm in the same boat. I feel like everything is just regurgitated over and over again. Every twist, every turn. And I'm tired of watching something and be able to predict, what the plot will be. It's the same with music. Many songs are written to perform by metrics, like length and listener retention in the first 30 seconds, so that you reach the magical monetization line on the streaming platform of your labels choice.
Nothing that I've noticed. And Proton runs everything I want to play. The back buttons are used for the bazzite overlay. That took some time to get used to. But aside from that it was a smooth experience and I would never change back. It got me to switch from Windows to Bazzite on my desktop. But that was a whole different thing with the Nvidia Wayland Firefox problems a few months ago.
