I got an Atheros card, which is fine for WiFi on Debian 12 and was cheap to buy. Drivers were in the Debian foss repo. Bluetooth is not working on it though. Interestingly, the Bluetooth did work under PureOS but I never figured out why.

Incorrect this time old bean, sorry. It did happen.
Or hapen, if you prefer.
I smoked some opium once when I was travelling and it was possibly the most pleasant experience of my entire life. Shortly after that I was left alone in a hostel room with someone who was dying from an overdose on it, which was possibly the most unpleasant.
I had no idea this was already happening...
Pray nobody knocks over an ashtray on that.
That travel router looks good. Will you also be using it to connect to the internet using a phone hotspot or just using it for a local network?
Not enough just to get someone else to take your cheap plastic shit to landfill after it's cluttered their space then I guess.
Looking forward to someone answering this
I saw a youtuber once reviewing the distro that the Russian military uses. It had some crusty retro desktop environment iirc.
Purely from the point of view of a museum visitor it's a unique and exceptional experience being able to see so much of the worlds history and culture in one place. But at the same time it takes away something that could be really special about travelling to another country because that's the only place where these things are on display.
I'd like to design a similar off-grid system. What do you have in mind for mobile wifi router and cellular signal booster?
"sudo apt yeet"
