I had the same thought initially, and unfortunately it wasn't just GTA. However, IMHO Diablo II Resurrected was an amazing exception, and I'm sure there are others. Plus, the OP's question was probably about an ideal case and they wanted to know what people have been missing from the past.

Realistically, I wouldn't expect a decent comeback of Guitar Hero 3 for example, but it sucks that it doesn't really work on Win10/11 anymore, and while Clone Hero exists, it doesn't have the same "story" mode as GH3 had, with characters, milestones and such. Hell, you can't even get "booed out".

Too bad that as you mentioned, even if there was demand, a random big company would just buy the rights, do some lazy upscale and sell it like it was gourmet shit.

Even if there was a single ad that I would want to click on, ever, I would still just simply look up the site instead. The only reason I've clicked an ad in the past 20 years was when I did it accidentally. They know that (as in, they know that the click ratio will be low) and I'm sure their goal is just for you to see the ad.

Oh, we're past that. In 2022 they made restrictions on wood cutting more lax, allowing felling of trees in previously protected areas. It caused pretty bad health issues in the winter in smaller towns, especially in valleys where the chimney smoke can't even leave the area.

So way into the 21st century, the government actually promoted heating with wood (partly from previously protected areas), and the next year when solar power gained some popularity, they made it harder and more expensive/less profitable to install solar panels and connect them to the grid. All this shortly after their propaganda slogan "Hungary is going forward, not backward".

But how about someone else's?

70 year old management member who came up with the idea of using this metric in the first place:

  • "The system shows you haven't touched your mouse for half an hour."

  • "Yes, I worked out a solution on paper, like back in the old days."

[confused noises]

You're so right, it makes perfect sense. Thanks for the correction!

I've watched a video about this recently. The problem is, most detectors were based on X-rays in the past decades. Liquid explosives are pretty close to the density (and/or other properties) of water, and you can't tell for sure whether there's toothpaste or boom juice in that tube.

However, some airports started using expensive ~~MRI~~ MRI like X-ray* machines that can see stuff in more detail, plus, it lets you to make cross sections from different angles and therefore have a 3D model that you can rotate on your screen (it's rather cool).

EDIT: I just realised someone else linked this, too. I would leave it here, it's still educational.

  • "Nah, not much."
  • "Lool, are you a lesbian then?"
  • "No, I just loathe that stupid friend of yours."
