I recommend CrossCode, if you haven't tried it. It's a top-down twinstick shooter/fighter so the gameplay is comparable to some of those you've listed and the story is long and unforgettable, with tons of fun optional content. Probably my favorite game narrative; there's nothing like it.

Some other favorites of mine are Revita, but there's little in terms of story, and Outer Wilds, but it's a slow burn. And if you're looking for games to play with friends, these are some of my favorite multiplayer indie games:

  • Deep Rock Galactic
  • Roboquest
  • Gunfire Reborn
  • Don't Starve Together
  • Risk of Rain 2

(Also Starbound, Terraria, & Core Keeper but those are bigger time investments)

Do you play indie games often? Most of my favorite gaming experiences have come from indie studios. They put more love into them

Worst example is the Nintendo Switch controller. The triggers are binary so you can't control your throttle in racing games.

Super Mario Sunshine used the analog triggers on the GameCube to differentiate a partial press where you can move around while spraying water or a full press where you can't move, and the control stick is instead used to aim.

Consequently, in the Switch port, you can no longer half-press, so emulating the GameCube version is a better experience than playing the official Switch port.

UrbanDictionary is generally offensive in all their definitions, but even so, you skipped past the first definition with 19x as many upvotes (at 16% downvotes) to show the one with 67% downvotes

Would be better if it was on B or something

Another hot take: Beginner-friendly distros are good for beginners.

Like many others, I wanted to rid myself of Windows but I needed it to as painless as possible so I was looking for something that feels like Windows but is not Windows. If I didn't have Mint to ease me into it and instead had to set up Arch from scratch, I would have likely gotten frustrated and gone back to Windows. I don't want to go back to Windows.

There's a distro for everyone, and I'll continue to recommend Mint to those who are getting sick of Windows and looking for a familiar alternative. That's who it's made for.

Depends why you made that criticism. I hate Apple as much as the next guy but the post makes it seem like the creator is the one who typically initiates a targeted and unwarranted attack at the user specifically ("...accuse him of supporting an evil...") as soon as they see an iPhone in their hand and then gets mad when they retaliate
