Thanks - I have an icotera i4850 router which claims to support NAT loopback, but I can't figure out where to do it and it seems like the manual is gone from the internet :) Might have to ask my internet provider if they have a PDF somewhere.

My guess is they're used in industrial kitchens when preparing lunch for lots of people. You know, the same people who have 10L of egg-whites in the walk-in cooler. I can't imagine regular people using them, they're definitely not available in shops.

Literally never seen or had this in Denmark.
