I'm basically running this setup with Unraid as my hypervisor. It's definitely doable, but takes a lot of tinkering to get everything up and running and games with super strict anti cheat won't run at all. I would only recommend going this route if you really enjoy tinkering, I'd say finding a cheap second hand PC for your NAS is probably much less work.

Every Google search should include an AI answer! Who cares about energy usage, we'll just buy a nuclear power plant!

Seems like you can't find a robo vacuum without a camera these days, anyone not running https://valetudo.cloud/ is asking for trouble.

Anyone looking for a free drop in replacement, I've been using Rancher Desktop without any issues https://rancherdesktop.io/

If a game developer can't trust the platform you're developing for, you probably should look to find better business partners.

Right, and blockchain/NFT have nothing to do with that problem. Xbox could have implemented the exact same program without a blockchain, they just wanted the buzzword in the headline.

Because then they wouldn't be able to evangelize NFTs. You see this constantly with crypto/NFT tech, a solution in search of a problem

What are you smoking and where can I get some?

What do you mean? The US is switching to NACS which is a standardized plug, Tesla superchargers will not be the only charging network to use it.

[–] ExperiencedWinter@lemmy.world 6 points 6 months ago

They wouldn't even need to license it, part of getting the other car manufacturers to switch to NACS was establishing it as an open standard. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Charging_Standard

Of course a lot of OEMs would like it, but google is incentivised to keep the best part of Android as pixel exclusives.
