Sad to see LOTR being whored out like this since Chris died, clearly the other descendants care for nothing but profit

How wonderfully specific, truly a timeless treasure of a game
I found it very enjoyable, great music and gameplay, very fast paced, definitely worth trying out if it's free.
I saw someone on lemmy recently say they dislike when game reviewers say that "this game is like another game", it's prerequisite knowledge that not everyone has, and it's lazy writing to boot. Since I read that comment it's been irking me as well...
What a bunch of narcs
I had a feeling that was the case when I played it...
It's like Kodi-lite, specifically for shows? It's not for me, but cool that it's out there
I've gotten into Wasteland 2 recently, I love Bryan Fargo and Chris Avellone's work, and so far it's holding up. I'm coming off of a Shadowrun: Dragonfall playthrough, so apparently I'm in a CRPG mood at the moment.
As of June 2022, more than 500 hours of video were uploaded to YouTube every minute. If that video is stored at 6Mb/s, a conservative estimate, that equates to about 10TB a minute. Obviously you wouldn't want everything, but it's still way more than the peertube network could handle in it's current form I'm sure. I cannot fathom the amount of data that Big Datatm handles, the fact that most of the services are free makes me highly suspicious.
I didn't down vote, but I'd assume that people on lemmy skew towards a dislike of centralised corporate structures, especially when they're pushing a subscription service in place of game ownership, and so they're not so much disagreeing with you as they are simply upset by what you're saying. Of course, I may be wrong on that. Personally I think it could go either way, I think their aquisitions have not yielded the return that they may have hoped for, and I really hope that gamepass fails, but it doesn't seem like it will. Que sera sera I suppose.
The Linux way, as it was written.
I bloody love Digital Foundry
