literally no one is saying "we need to kill all pursuits of ai because it's bad at organizing my photos"

I got a 90$ laser printer for home 5 years ago. I've printed at least 600 pieces of paper, and have only had to change the toner cartridge once (recently). I can get a 2 pack of toner for about 24$.

This is how i think about printing now: i needed some black paper in a pinch once, so i printed a solid black image on both sides of a sheet of paper.

laser all the way

the tldr was for my wordy comment not the article. why would i summarize the article?

[–] FunnyUsername@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (5 children)

the article provides one "official" explanation for views dropping, and i am citing an alternative explanation from the perspective of creators themselves who see the analytical data and the judgments being past on their videos.

Tldr: youtube forced ai into video monitoring and it keeps killing videos it shouldn't, so instead of saying Ai is bad they're blaming af blockers because why not lie when there's no repercussions?

YouTube views are dropping because they are using AI to vet and cull age innappropriate content from minors. the problem is the ai is very bad at its job and marks way too many videos as not advertiser friendly, which effectively kills YouTube promoting that video in feeds. this is the default view for new accounts, so you have to specifically turn off parental controls to see a normal feed. this started happening about 4 months ago. a number of channels I watch have made comments about this, including Redlettermedia

I'm watching the video right now, and the first thing he said was he couldn't beat it before and could only manage 2 draws, and 6 minutes into his rematch game and it's putting up a damn good fight

but does it actually taste like the real thing? because I can already buy something that, supposedly, I should be unable to believe isn't real butter, but after doing so I remain suspicious

dude. i am 36 years old. i have experienced and enjoyed tons of dark humo. johnny the homicidal maniac was my bread and butter when i was 16. please don't assume just because a stranger doesn't like something you do it's because they are uncultured or have narrow horizons. it comes across incredibly pretentiously

i have 4 hours on my steam account. not a single chuckle. that's enough time for a laugh. you may jokes about bleak existences and situations but dark humor isn't exactly mainstream and imo is pretty hard to pull off without feeling gross, which Disco Elysium did to me.

also, i have seen more of the game via youtube than i have played. the game is not a comedy, just stop it.

[–] FunnyUsername@lemmy.world 13 points 4 months ago (10 children)

this game was so fucking depressing and bleak and full of downer characters and sub stories i stopped playing after 4 hours.

drama can be good. hardships make adventures exciting. but when the entire world is a hardship, I'd rather play something with more realistic variety.
