Their hourly rate is certainly lower than my local shop.
Grippler
you "have to" bring it to Tesla for repairs and service
That's some big ass quotation marks, because it's not true at all. I've only had mine fixed by Tesla when it was a warranty issue. The service I've had done (brakes, general checkup and AC) have been done by a local shop without any issues. Had a fender bender that was fixed by a local shop too without any issues.
If the US decides to ban it then that's a move from the Chinese playbook. Don't be like China.
It has a bit of the same vibe as the "tolerating intolerance" paradox.
In the case of tesla, you'd still need the API token to the specific car (which requires username and password) to send any commands to it. It doesn't actually take commands directly, from anything, it's all done through teslas servers via the API. Getting access to local network makes no difference, you need the token to do anything with the car. You can't even send commands via BT to the car.
It's my primary computer these days, so it's definitely a useful tool and not a gimmick for me...I do still own a laptop, but I only use it for the very few things I do that require a KB/M combo. I'd say >95% of everything that requires a computer/digital access I do with my phone.
I just power all of my cameras with POE
We had a coworker that got fired a while back, man that was a relief for the entire department. That person was absolutely toxic to work with, or even near.
I might not be paid a lot, but things like this makes up for it.
Really? Being given stuff you don't have a need or use for is good compensation to you?
Farts per second...obviously
Yeah that really sucks
