I'll take this one: Wolfenstein Clone.

The answer is still FPS.

I understand it might be an interesting video on Doom being the trailblazer of its genre, but you give me a simple dumb question as the title of your video and I'll give it a snarky dumb answer every time.

I had to look up Bettridge's law, which was more effort than I took with the original post. Excellent work! I have to agree now and change my answer.

Is this about that community manager who dared to have an opinion about more women's representation in games (on her personal Twitter)?

The problem with this in the games industry is that usually those decisionmakers are the ones with the power, but aren't (or are barely into) games themselves.

The ones warning of backlash are often QA, and often don't get listened to. Then when the backlash inevitably happens it's all "we are sorry, we couldn't have known, all the feedback was positive".

FPS. Next question.

Going for a classic Snakes on a Plane prank

Porque no los dos?

Agreed, and probably the main aim of the change. It forces people to have a photo ID when they wouldn't necessarily otherwise.

I don't know if this is the case in other countries, but in the UK if you don't drive and don't require a passport then you wouldn't naturally have a photo ID. Forcing people to choose between "volunteering" all their personal data and being allowed to vote is not an action of a benevolent democratic government.

You'd think that the Prime Minister who implemented the rule to require a photo ID to vote would then not forget his own photo ID at the next time he tries to vote. Smells distinctly oniony.

I might be putting on my grumpy old man hat... but more remakes? The original 2 are still playable, what's wrong with just playing them?

Interesting, I didn't know that about the guns. My info is probably a little bit old because they certainly didn't start off all licenced up and ready to go and there was some debate about it in the community years ago.

FYI: I just downvoted you now because you had already made an edit to insult me for something I didn't do before I even read your comment for the first time. Unhinged.
