It's not that simple for everyone. Some of the studios that wound down in the last year did so because they couldn't find funding from publishers, due to the general lack of investment. It's not easy to run a games company with no outside investment whatsoever.

To be fair, all of that is in COD and that's a full priced game (at least the multiplayer aside from Warzone).

Sure Zuck is an idiot for wearing this in PR shots. But at the same time, I don't believe he truly has a hatred for modern Tunisia specifically.
When someone comissions a painting, they choose the subject and that's about it. Sure if they didn't like it they might not pay, but that's probably already more hands off than any publisher in the games industry.
