I would post to Stack Overflow but I'll just get my question closed as a duplicate and downvoted because someone asked a different question but supposedly an answer there answers my question.

I use it to ask questions that I can't find search results for or don't have the words to ask. Also for d&d character art I share with my playgroup lol.

Some of the downvotes could be because you saying they can brick them is sensationalized when they only disabled updates.

I asked ChatGPT to give me a script to parse my history file and output the dates in something human readable. Later I learned you can use something like history -i. It was basically instantaneous while the script was slow.

Though, I'm questioning my memory of this because I don't see that flag on man pages online.

Edit: In ChatGPT's defense, this was actually something oh my zsh added, not zsh.

Even Bluesky is limiting video uploads heavily. And it's centralized. (As far as I understand.)

No, you've never been able to sign into different fediverse instances with your account (to my knowledge). You can interact with other instances through yours, yes, but you don't go to the others and sign in.

Literally everyone has a soul, stop feeding into this false dichotomy of popular kids versus nerds.

Any details on that case you remember? Sounds fascinating.

Look, when you're trying to get your computer working I agree. I don't mind having to use nonfree stuff if I literally cannot boot otherwise. But if we don't have strong ideological fighters pushing for things like totally free systems then we wouldn't be where we are today and we would always have to use non free stuff. So it's definitely important we have people who are more ideologically idealist.
