What's that about organized crime? I have never heard of that before. Is it only a scare tactic or is it really something to be concerned about when sailing the 7 seas, other than the usual caution (uBlock, VPN, private browser tab)

I shouldn't be but I am honestly kind of shocked. MacOS was supposed to be for everyone, pros and laypeople allike. Not a mac user so I can't be sure, but if windows removed this ability a ton of software from random github projects or self compiled software would become useless. DON'T THEY KNOW THAT? They can't possibly think, the people running apps like that will get a developer subscription just to run that one random app they use.

I don't know how to diy it on your pc, but on my steamdeck with the latest proton version most repackaged games work fine.

Yeah I sent the screenshot to my parents right away, I think they would know better but better be safe than sorry.

Aliexpress is now a beacon of quality compared to the terrible stuff available on Temu. The worst part is that people buying a spare battery for their eScooter won't do the research and will just be happy to get a "good" deal, until it explodes in their sleep...

I am assuming its the same with Apple and as long as you sign out of your google account before wiping, it is no longer linked to you. Hopefully it will prompt you to do so when wiping the device locally.

I use Infomaniak, as they follow swiss privacy laws and had the cheapest registration for .ch when I registered it first.
