yup, noticed that revanced wasn't working a week ago.

went into revanced manager, patched the recommended version, installed gmscore, done.

suck it youtube, i'm not paying a subscription to watch low effort vtuber edits.

they really are trying to fuck themselves over, aren't they?

i'm gonna switch as soon as game devs realize linux needs anticheat support.

and i know a lot of people who don't care what operating system they run as long as they can use their web browser on it.

recently reinstalled win10 pro, located in europe using a local account.

haven't seen any yet.

FP4 user here. while that is true, any android ROM with google services on it isn't privacy-focused.

but i don't want to miss out on clash of clans, so here i am using their bullshit spyware.

i played a match and i don't get it, that game is just boring.

how do people actually play this?

i have colleagues who gush over how they want everyone else to play it.

it's just so... stale

yup, sadly many of the bands/artists i listen to don't really offer their music as physicals, but there's also no way i'm gonna spend 20 bucks on an album just to listen to like 3 of the songs ever.

i have a weird way of listening to music.

my dad has a huge collection of CDs he started in the 80s. and he's not gonna stop buying every single CD that his favourite bands release.

he rips them onto his ipod and his phone. great way to efficiently own music and get some pretty cool artwork.

so from what i can tell, no one (that i know of) buys CDs to play them out of a playback device, just to own your library.

some bands, and their fans. you can make a cassette look pretty dope.

and i've heard prisoners often only have access to cassettes.

there's still two left over in our household. while one is really heavy but manageable, the other one hasn't been moved in years. probably for the best.

like the US military. most of their mission critical stuff has been running for 20 years that way.

if only there were an operating system that could update without shutting down.

Hi,

i've been running a Truenas server for a while now. i currently have my totally legally aquired movie saved on there and jellyfin to stream them.

but the one complaint is: i can't torrent without my Workstation pc running, because its running qbittorrent and uploading it through SMB.

is there any way to install a torrent program on the server and remote control it via my PC? Ideally with magnet link support?

i would imagine it being done via a VM and connecting it to the server via SMB or FTP as well

my electronics engineer brain also had the idea to buy a passively cooled thinkcentre for 50€ on ebay and just keep it running inside my office 24/7.

any help is appreciated!
