Maybe. Without it, though, the individual would have to build and maintain a site, direct traffic there, and handle payments, as well still do all of the community management and content creation they already do. Now either they'd spend their own time doing this if they have the knowledge, or pay others, which might meet or exceed that 20% depending on their income level.

The previous commenter is saying that the company makes serious money.
I go out and interact with strangers all the time, make acquaintances and friends, and when I was interested, even met women to date. I'm autistic, awkward, and have anxiety. If I can do it, most neurotypicals should be able to as well. I think the problem most people have is that they expect things to happen instantaneously. It takes time to build rapport with an individual or group, but consistency is key. You'll often be surprised by the people who look forward to seeing you.
To be clear... you're afraid to talk to people because guns exist? If this is true, you may need to speak to someone about this professionally.
Those games did well, it doesn't mean the genre is among the most popular and i bet they didn't approach those level of sales. I wasn't throwing shade, that's just facts. I also mentioned ubis or reputation adding to this.
I think there is some confusion here. The game genre is "2d platformer," I wasn't referring to where people can play it. It isn't the most popular genre of gaming, and it's quite different from ubisofts' other titles.
Oh, ok. I definitely didn't read it in this case.
As a company pushes people away it gets harder to pull them back, so that doesnt take away from their complaints. Also, I'm not sure that the same crowd who plays other ubisoft titles is the crowd that's interested in a 2d platformer.
Damn, I didn't know that was a thing either, lol. I'd play retro games on the TV remote.
Wasn't it all mobile games? I'm pretty sure that was the exact market they were looking for. People with short attention spans that can't put down the phone, even while consuming other media.
I went to school with some pretty terrible people that did some horrendous shit without cause. Honestly, the fact they are in society is pretty concerning.
It could be the first as well, given the religious motivations of the law.
