Im not going to disagree with you, but i have this nagging suspicion that most people who think they are "night owls" are really just shining a phone light in their face every night and confusing their sleep cycle.

Not exactly related to the post but it made me think about how I've been the only human character in every DnD party I've played in so far. Default can be pretty unique sometimes when everyone else is trying to be unique.

A professor once accused me of cheating because he mixed up my project with another students, marked that students project twice, and assumed i copied them.... Acedemia is not always the place of enlightenment people imagine....

I agree, also important to note that the "big square" actually served a purpose in preventing cavalry from picking off separated infantry and detering cavalry charges. From my understanding the formation was genuinely effective until horses stopped being a factor in war.

I mean maybe "honour" played a role in why they did things but i think we're sometimes too quick to assume people in the past were idiots.
