This post does have useful info about the recent changes, it might be considered advertising but at least it's good advertising.

Even pretty basic websites will remember filled out data without an account, it's just pure laziness if a full on app doesn't do it.

Njalla is more private because they own your domain and just allow you rights to use it, the downside is you have less control over things.

Still would be nice if their support was better.

Did your domain come up as flagged on google safe browsing?

Yeah I would not be exposing stuff like Linkding to the public internet unless I really wanted to spend the time to isolate the server and networking, and really make sure it's locked down.

Njalla is more private because they actually register the domain themselves, and just allow you rights to edit the settings.

It's quite different from a typical registrar like Cloudflare where you actually are directly registering the domain yourself.

Can you restore a backup image? Sometimes that's easier to roll back a day rather than spend all the time trying to troubleshoot.

Hotspots won't hurt anything unless they get too hot and damage the coating on the windings, I would assume the manufacturer is aware of that and designed the startup current so it's safe.

Car engines have connecting rods and all kinds of extreme side forces on bearings that get stressed under high load. Brushless motors do not have any of those things, just a rotational bearing that doesn't experience any more load on startup vs constant speed.

The motors are brushless, so no wear happens during spin-up from the extra current other than a little more heat for a few seconds.

Tailscale in my experience does not run as kernel mode wireguard so performance is not great, but maybe that's changed.

Not sure about Netbird, but the Android app reviews are poor and it does not sound reliable.

Yeah this is why OpenVPN is better for roaming clients in most cases.

The default Unbound server on Opnsense.
