only thing the telemetry is used in this printer is nice graphs on the app, but the same can be done locally from the embedded web server at the printer ip address

LOL meanwhile even if I have a 4k monitor I still choose 720p to save space and have quantity over quality

It really surprised me that they're based in Italy.

Between all the Western countries it's the stupidest one to base a VPN company. The management risks prison time for little gain, why not Cyprus or the Caribbean like anyone else? Open a shell company in the Bahamas and still operate from Perugia if they really like to live in the Italian countryside

Italy is a country controlled by copyright trolls, for an Italian citizen using them as a piracy VPN is an insane idea, why not just be unprotected at that point?

It's almost like choosing China or Russia as base

From the article it looks like zfs is the perfect file system for smr drives as it would try to cache random writes

Yes, I got lots of lag due to WordPress using all the CPU time to elaborate the same page over and over again.

I could have wasted some days to setup a cache proxy and other stuff but for a website with 10 monthly visitors is overkill, is faster to block everyone else outside the target. If someone is visiting from Russia or China they have 120% a malicious intent in my case, so no need to serve content

it's not a distributed denial of service but a single bot asking the same fucking wordpress page every 100ms is still a denial of service on my poor home server. In one click i was able to ban the whole asian continent without too much effort

Tell this to the Russian bots that are hammering my personal site for some reason.

It's way easier to make a rule "no Russia" or even "only my country"

Simple reason: at home I don't have a static IPv4 address and I can't do port forwarding

It's the list of IPs that belong to cloudflare.

I think that because I'm using tunnels it's not necessary to have all of them, just the docker ip address space

For the first the bandwidth is paid by Microsoft via GitHub, the second from linuxserver.io via donations.

That's why I prefer the first one

They still need to cache them anyway when they're crawling the pages.

It wasn't a full backup like archive.org but a broken text only view
