I used to live literally 3 or 4 blocks from a domino's, and would always tip at least 20% for delivery (probably usually more, cause I'm tipping at least $5 on $20). Could I physically walk there?... yes. Was it worth it to not walk... also yes.

But I guess most of the appeal of delivered pizza for me is, "I utterly don't give a shit about anything. Please feed me with almost zero of my input, or I'll actually just go to bed so that I'm not hungry anymore"

Delivery is the definition of, "how much would I pay to not go get food AND not cook right now, but still be able to stuff my face". A fiver for a hand-delivered pizza, doesn't seem that off the mark from what I'm indulging in

I've never fucked with people's food; but I also never fuck with people who fuck with my food... cause I'm not dumb like that lol

A forum should work in tandem with a chatroom in an "ideal" online community, imo. Searchable Q&A with a communication for additional, nuanced interaction. They serve different purposes and can be more powerful when used together, than they could be on their own.

Lemmy does seem to have a bunch of old, crotchety internet nerds on here that like the "old ways" of the webs. But just tell 'em to "go fuck yourself", if they're being a dick; and than don't reply to them again. It's very freeing. They're just butt sensitive about linux and foss, cause they were bullied on early internet forums and now act the same way, when expressing their loud-ass opinions. It's like an unfortunate cycle of abuse that has existed on forums, but don't let it discourage you from asking anyway... the question might help others

Free labor, and keep her away from customers. Cleaning, prepping, whatever. If she causes problems, she violates probation and serves the rest of time in prison. Give the store an incentive to deal with her. With thin margins, I'd take those odds. Fuck threatening to fire; if you fuck up, you go back to prison.
