Unless this is a turnkey plugin that takes very few people to implement. It would be A. Too difficult and B. Too easy for anyone who knows about it to whistle blow it's existence

A $5 esp32 has more than enough computing power to run a vending machine, cameras and connectivity too. Would be cheaper than having to run all the analogue circuitry.

Twitter was the main tool in the Arab Spring revolutions. Whatever the Saudis paid to buy and destroy it was cheap for their goals.

It's an issue that could be solved within lemmy where communities with the same name should be able to merge and show each others content.

It also happens when users join and pick the largest community at the time, which may be overtaken later but the user will never know unless they often go looking
