Who would've thought that an industry that disregarded and actively attacked and insulted their viewer/reader base, who gained a fame for 10/10ing all games under the sun and folding to the most miniscule of complaints from pressure groups would end up not having viewers/readers at all ? Not to mention hiring people who hate video games, can't play them and/or plagiarize footage from youtube to showcase the game as journalists.

Let me play the tiniest violin concerto for you guys. Now roll over and let youtubers take your industry.

I tried looking around but this humble soul doesn't have much in the way of receiving donations. I suggest contacting him via https://github.com/Catfriend1 to ask for an alternative and if he gets back to you, share it here for other people who dislike paypal.

Fyi the syncthing-fork guy (catfriend1) who's still updating has a donating button on F-droid via Liberapay. It's up to you if your financial situation allows you to donate, but the more of us help the remaining developers for their time, in particular those of us that rely so much on their work, the better off we'll be. Let's give them a little motivation to keep working on this.

FYI2 syncthing-fork (as written and confirmed in this thread) has an import button for your folders from syncthing Android.

ESA is the European Space Agency. It's a pretty prominent acronym. They really couldn't bother researching it before registering their little butthurt group? Imagine making a corporate group and calling it NASA.

What's most frustrating is 5+ year old games whose biggest discount is 15%, clogging up my wishlist. Some devs are really hurting themselves by being so stingy.

It does when you're watching. I have sys monitor widgets with rainmeter on my PC and whenever I'm watching something, it cpu is at least 5 or so degrees hotter and there's 5 mb + network activity on the upload. You can check yourself on system monitor.

It might sound like a pretty obvious thing, but have you tried changing the tools into the "Tabbed ribbon" that office uses instead of the classic old 90s organization scheme in options ?

I have come to notice that when people who don't really work with computers very well, in particular boomers, say that they can't stand LibreOffice, they mean they don't like the layout of the tools, because they can't find anything they need. I suppose they just got used to where everything is with modern office.

Just change it and see if she will like it better. Usually solves it for the boomers i help. Nothing is holding LibreOffice back more than their default layout scheme. They really don't know their target audience's pain points AT ALL. Just goes to show why you need to study your users using the product without being explained anything.

I don't get why their default is a layout that has been outdated for 24 years. Nostalgia or what? Only really old people who used computers in the 90s a lot will intuitively find it useful.

Seize the means of unproductivity.

I hear everyone repeating this, but in my own experience i was no more tired when smoking than i was after quitting. I've had the same profession, the same gymn habits, the same sleep hygiene, the same eating habits, everything the same.

Even when i was dead tired going out partying, nicotine gave me an energy jolt. So I'd have to disagree with this statement based on my own personal experience. For me nicotine always acted like a stimulant first and foremost.

My first time i felt like how you feel when you're the perfect amount of tipsy. I lost inhibitions and i felt relaxed and a little euphoric. That was the first hit or any hit after a long break.

Regular smoking was more like, every time i smoked i felt more relaxed and more awake. It was like a little energy boost. You can't quite place when or what exactly happens, you just feel better and ready to go after you're done.

I have since quit smoking and a decade later i still miss it. Smoking was the perfect work pause, because it forced me to go outside and think. It also gave me a little jolt of energy and it was perfect for creative thought. I haven't quite managed to find the replacement for it, but the best I've managed was periodic walks with a notebook during work time and coffee. Also drinking water.

Smoking is terrible for your health and even though i miss it, i don't regret my decision to quit.

It's not about what you're obligated to, it's about the emotional attachment to children that won't necessarily remain in your life.

As for adoption, you try that with a person you've known for a year or less, see how that works out for you. But yes, if they agree, then sure, i think adoption is fair.

What is not fair is having someone responsible for and bonding with your kids, regardless of gender, and never giving them parenrsl rights.

If they adopted kids it would be their kids, so no issue.

Hope you don't get too attached to kids that aren't yours anon. You have no custody or parental rights and are one big fight away from having them exit your life. Or like, the return of the original Chad who decided to get cleaned up and even years later, you know she'll forgive the father of her children.

Being a substitute dad is a huge mistake, but i guess someone's gotta do it. I certainly wouldn't.
