The antitrust case is about Google and Apple, not Mozilla. It doesn't mean the antitrust case will have any impact on Mozilla, because it's not a major player, unlike Apple.

So, if there's already a symbol in Unicode, the petition doesn't make any sense. They should ask Google and Apple to display the symbol in the emoji list, with a control character to force it as emoji.
I don't know how long the forks will be able to backport new features to their forked codebase.
I think the only sensible solution is to just switch to Firefox.

If the latter, try changing app. If the former, try contacting your instance admin, or see if there's a mod/admin community. Worst case scenario, move to another instance.
Download the most recent version from Monkrus and call it a day.

I agree with you, but if you still use Google services, including YouTube, you'll still be tracked.
