I heard the opposite. It does changes to the art, runs like ass, had music removed and they kept cutscenes at 720p (including in engine ones). One of the Digital Foundry guys refunded it.

Maybe you're thinking of Suda's other game that got remastered recently, Shadows of the Damned, which does look exactly like it should, though it also doesn't run great.

Coromon didn't get a huge media deal that could have the potential undermine the Pokemon franchise. Nintendo going after them would be just needless friction since patent lawsuits are hellish

They could still just download the official drivers straight from the NVIDIA website with a VPN. Or from a mirror without one.

Did NVIDIA stop selling videocards in Russia? The article doesn't mention it.
