Around that time I was a swamper on a moving truck, we had been just using a map book, worked fine. The owner decided TomTom was the future, and wanted us using it, no arguments!
We're going down the highway, fully loaded, probably going a bit faster than we should, and TomTom, in it's infinite wisdom, yells "Sharp left here!" This is Canada, and we were halfway between exits, a sharp left turn would have put us through the concrete barriers and into oncoming traffic. Needless to say, we turned Tom off, and carried on with the map book...

Email is going through my domain to ProtonMail, was really easy to set up, and works like a charm.

This is all good info, thanks! Gives me a bit of reading to do before I start shifting everything over.

VPN needs to come in from my domain IP, but exit from my network. What network security best practices should I be implementing?

I second this motion. All in favour?

shrugs idk what to say. Google can fist themselves with a handful of rusty nails and broken glass if they think popping up tos or someone just being on the site is accepting it even if it's not shown. I wasn't arguing against your point. Just that the last time I went to YT with a fresh browser I was shown a ToS. That was easily two years ago, so maybe I should have just kept my....mouth? Uhhh....fingers? Shut.....I'll fuck off now. Sorry

I mean, when I goto Google or YouTube signed out, and without an ad blocker/tracking auto reject I get a pop up with their short ToS, every time.

Good point, not sure that economists are human enough to take sense into account, but I think we should try and make it a thing.

Also bubbles don't "leak".

I mean, sometimes they kinda do? They either pop or slowly deflate, I'd say slow deflation could be argued to be caused by a leak.

My wife ~~has~~ had the same rule, then we moved, now I'm the lender, not the borrower. This means I have an excuse for buying new tools. That and my current job and side jobs are requiring some specific tools that I don't already own.

I used to live next to a guy who did site visits for snap-on. I've got a bunch of swag, and I didn't pay for it, and I don't own any of their tools!

Might I ride your coat tails, and recommend Behind the Bastards episodes on Bill Gates and Steve Jobs? Who for the record are both absolute monsters. Not like....Hitler bad, but still pretty shockingly bad....

Behind the Bastards Part One: The Ballad of Bill Gates
Behind the Bastards Part Two: The Ballad of Bill Gates
Behind the Bastards Part One: The Terrible Secret of Steve Jobs
Behind the Bastards Part Two: The Terrible Secret of Steve Jobs
Behind the Bastards Part Three: The Terrible Secret of Steve Jobs
Behind the Bastards Part Four: The Terrible Secret of Steve Jobs

Please note: Steve Jobs was bad enough to earn a 4 part series.
