Depends what you consider a good price. Viofio is usually a good brand with good hardware and decent software support.

The way I see it, it looks like it can't write the files because it can't fetch them from the network. Without a lot dump I may very well be wrong, though.

Do you know that most 8bit computers/consoles/arcades could have a bigger palette, right?

As an example, the NES had a 6 bits color palette for 60 total colors, the Amstrad CPC had 27 colors, and so on.
