I've been running Pop!_OS with the Cinnamon desktop environment on my machine at home for the past 3 months. I'm very impressed with the out-of-the-box experience. All my games run in Steam or Lutris.

Fuck Microsoft.

I've been very impressed by the out-of-the-box experience with Pop!_OS. My Steam games work, and I have Elder Scrolls Online running through Lutris.

So far, everything just works.

Absolutely this. I pay for both my Proton and Notesnook accounts. No ads, no trafficing my data, and services I like and believe in.

Murena phones look promising. And you can download their e/OS if you want to flash the phone you have, provided it's supported. https://murena.com

Mainly the 5000 character limit. It handles MFM (though I don't really use it), and features like antennas (very specific follow lists).

+1 for Sharkey. It's my favorite of the protocols, so far.

Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm planning on flashing my One Plus 9 Pro with Murena's ROM. I'm working on getting de-googlefied.

Myself, I use my bank's web portal via my mobile browser. Not as instant as an app, but it gets the job done.

You have a whole community backing you! And once you've installed the OS, you'll feel like you can conquer the world.

Windows Recall did it for me. I switched to Pop!_OS Linux and have been pretty content so far.
