Again, im not trying to change their minds lmao.

Been down that road with many family and friends. They will decide what they will decide whether or not i try to tell them these companies suck.

Im not doing nothing. Im laughing at them and enjoying myself quite a bit actually. Id be happy to teach them to degoogle and stuff when they make that decision, but it is not my job to convince them to do so. Its yours apparently

Or maybe its your job to educate the masses! Go forth, noble knight. Spend your days shouting into the ignorant void

Then they will keep buying crap. Most people dont care and never will and i will continue to get shadenfreude from their ignorance when their overpriced garbage breaks. Nothing people like us can say will convince them. People like that have to learn their own lessons.

Probably right. It is samsung after all. They would rather you have e-waste than not be able to serve you ads and steal your data.

Samsung is pretty known to be a shit ass company. You can spend your money how you like, but dont be surprised when someone laughs at you for buying shitty overpriced stuff

Smart fridges arent helpful either. Its gimmicky bs from tech giants. The same tech giants that inject ads into everything they can for past 20 years. Genuinely, what did you people expect??

Im not trying to be helpful or productive. Obviously. Im making fun of people for buying dumb shit.

Even so, most expiration dates are a scam. Why would smart expiration dates be any better

[–] ThunderQueen@lemmy.world 7 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

Probably just break the smart features remotely

[–] ThunderQueen@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago (14 children)

Lmao that's what you get for buying a smart fridge. This was inevitable.

Thats awful, im so sorry. Our entire house is usually $200ish but it jumped to $400ish because they put in a data center nearby and are using residents to subsidize it

Neat, are they available in the US and as affordable as tidal?
