Also Tiny Tina was actually a fuckin blast to play through. It doesn't drag like some of the main games do, the humor is actually fun because you're basically playing a game within a game and it works as far as D&D stuff goes imo.

Also I actually liked being able to customize my character for once. I don't know about the other voices, but I actually really liked the douchey/cocky voice I ended up going with. There are some fun lines for different quests and such.

I actually googled it and found multiple tutorials on how to activate full nudity even if you're in the US. You literally do just change your console's region, for Xbox anyway.

Damn, even if you're actually in the EU with a full EU console and game copy?

Conan Exiles lets you hang full dong on PC, I assume you might be able to change the region on your console to get around it, but I don't know for sure.

Speaking of PC sales: steam summer sale is on right now. There's some decent deals. The Mass Effect series is all on sale for pretty steel discounts; the LE is like $6.

Fucking G*mers, man...

You can never be happy. You always have to be pedantic and condescending to people who actually answer your questions normally. You always have to move the goalposts and play semantics.

"No, you didn't give me games that are labeled exactly as I want them to be labeled, so you're wrong and I'm still right."

You're just as bad as Republicans nowadays.

And I personally couldn't care less about that one. I know others might want it, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to check it out a little bit, but I'm not super huge on collect-a-thon platformers.

Which is kinda stupid imo. If you want more people to try and buy your game, you should at least put it on sale once a year.

[–] Zahille7@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

Or we can be upset that some devs never put their games on sale when tons of others do. I don't care if it's considered "the best game ever made" by gamers who are already fans of factory-type games, that argument doesn't hold any water for someone who's a fan of other genres like RPGs or shooters.

Also, their "reasoning" that it's unfair to people who paid full price is bullshit and you know it. Tainted Grail had its full release last month, along with a price increase, but the game had gone on sale multiple times between the EA and full releases. Abiotic Factor is doing the exact same thing, and also had sales in between the EA release and full game. There's no real reason that it shouldn't go on sale at least once a year or something. If you miss a sale, that's on you.

I just got:

JoJo's All-Star Battle R, Strobophagia, Arkham Origins: Blackgate

I'm not really into fighting games, but I got pretty into the JoJo anime and played the demo for All-Star Battle R before and I really liked it, so I got the deluxe edition or whatever for $20.

Strobophagia popped up on my homepage one time and caught my eye cause I like EDM, and mixing it into a game about a rave with a horror twist seemed pretty cool.

I've heard rough things about Blackgate as it's a 3.5D side scrolling brawler, but I'm hoping it'll play similar to those Assassin's Creed Chronicles games, cause I really liked those when they came out. Also I just want to experience more of the Arkham story/universe. At some point I'd like to play Arkham Shadow as I watched a bit of gameplay and heard a lot of positive things about it.

Wow. That was unnecessary

Gamers will use anything to justify the price for their favorite games.

I'm not saying it's a bad game or anything, I've never actually played it as it doesn't really look like my type of game, but the "reasoning" that they'll never put it on sale because it's "unfair" to people who paid full price is stupid.

So I like to use Xbox controllers (doesn't matter if it's first- or third-party) because I like the layout, it's just comfortable to me. However I've noticed that on all my controllers in the past few years, the left thumb stick will start to "give out" over the course of a couple months. For instance I'll be pushing it forward all the way, but it won't register for some reason and my character will only move a little bit. Sometimes wiggling it a bit will fix it, sometimes it doesn't. And it's not like I'm squeezing the hell out of the controller or mashing the stick constantly; in fact it's made me try to be more delicate with my controllers, even though I'm just playing the games normally.

Is it just how controllers are, or am I just getting the shit end of the stick?
