Seemed like the "I have no wife and am also a woman" was added to make the joke seem absurd, but lesbians exist and can hit each other, so I don't know what purpose it has.

i make jokes about hitting my wife - i don’t hve a wife - i’m a woman

tbf that doesn't stop you from getting a wife and hitting her

Like… you REALLY telling on your ass if you think the steam forums are something anyone should want more of.

idk man I only use them when a game isn't gaming right and there's usually some posts about how to get the game to game correctly, sometimes even posts by the devs, let's not pretend it's *all* /v/ shit

The Steam forums are the most repugnant and racist-filled psychotic right-wing shitholes I’ve ever encountered

"Surely this person is sheltered"

(and I once went to the Stormfront forums)

buddy idk what you're doing on steam but the worst I get are youtube tier, which can sometimes be Stormfront tier but not higher than that on average.

Enhanced Edition is by far the best way to play System Shock, it's controls are a little mouse centric, but the mouse pad on the steam deck should be plenty suitable for mouse things like playing an audio log. Other than that, EE lets you control it like a typical FPS and you can bind controls for switching weapons and whatnot to avoid the UI

If you want to play System Shock, the OG or EE is the only way to get the real experience, IMO the remaster sanded away many of the parts that made it unique (while adding some that make it less unique, like a crafting system for some reason?) to the point that it kinda loses its identity

Steam deck has the mouse pad, no? Still not as good as a real mouse, but the one on my steam controller was the perfect bridge for playing mouse games with a controller.

The Enhanced Edition for System Shock makes it perfectly suitable for anyone used to FPS controls, the "remaster" changes so much that it is hardly the same game.

Humble changed their pricing model this year, so it's my last year subscribing, so I want to use a little more discretion and skip some months because they do have "tent poles" that interest me sometimes. This month the tent pole is Persona 5, which I hear is good, but I still have Persona 4 on my backlog and it doesn't interest me too much.

Sim, arcade, simcade, anything. I'm kinda disconnected from the genre and want to know what is considered the GOATs of racing games to try them out.

Me personally, I'd say Dirt Rally 2, very addicting gameplay.
