Not really. The office market is not that huge and the vacancies overall are also not that bad. It's not like every single office is suddenly empty.

On the flip side: where these offices are located, housing is extremely expensive, so you could transform some offices to apartments, pivot projects currently in construction and maybe even demolish some older buildings.

These headlines are just a sign that the current management class is utterly incapable of reacting to anything but "line go up". They can't understand that they can't exploit their way out of this for once.

I'm not sure whether it would work better today.

What seems odd about the glasses is that they're essentially bodycams, but just unobtrusive enough not to be identified as such from a distance.

Someone walking around with an AR headset makes it very clear they're wearing a tech device, someone holding up a phone in front of them signals "I might be filming", but someone wearing slightly unusual glasses won't catch any attention. And that seems very weird to a lot of people.

You could try to redo the copy and monitor the system in htop, for example. Maybe there's a memory or CPU bottleneck. Maybe one of your drives is failing, maybe you've got a directory with tons of very small files, which causes a lot of overhead.

Ehm, warm water port is absolutely the correct term for it. See: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port

Also, a Texan with a bit of knowledge would absolutely call it a port, especially if they're talking about the Port of Houston, for example: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_of_Houston

I don't know where this guy is from, but maybe you should be slightly more cautious with your linguistic judgements.

A port that doesn't freeze in winter.

3mb/s sounds more like there is something else going on.

Not really, at least not in a useful way. I have an i5 6500 in an old Dell desktop and even with 16gb of RAM, you can't really do that much without waiting forever. My m1 air is way faster.

Yep, and the top comment showed the exact kind of thinking that led to the creation of OPs meme.

Just talking about whiteness in anything other than accusatory or self-deprecating terms is always racism by default, even if the points made are absolutely valid and not racist at all.

This in turn leads to a situation where a large chunk of the "mildly conservative" folks can only assume, that if those are the advocates of the movement, then just mentioning their own identity will get them in trouble. Demagogues of course gladly take it from there.

Once again, self-righteous zealots sabotage the very thing they claim to be fighting for, by completely not understanding what that actually means.

And for what reason exactly? IPOs are either for owners to cash out or for the company to gather investment money. RPi doesn't really need money, they sell an extremely popular product. They literally can't produce enough product to quench the Pi thirst.
