The deletion should federate across almost all instances, but there's no guarantee and also someone will almost certainly one day set up an archive server that just listens to all activity on Lemmy like uneddit used to be for reddit.

Admins can purge posts manually which actually deletes them. Or use tools like db0's lemmy-safety that tries to automatically search for CSAM and wipe it.

I think the problem here is the user didn't finish their post which means the photo was uploaded but not associated with a post and therefore not purgeable that way.

Interesting, I've never gotten any signal after the first 15 minutes or so inside the US.

Absolutely still turn it on though, or your phone will be pushing it's power to the max screaming for cell towers the whole flight.

But sure if you want to pop it on when you get close to landing, you can usually get a signal that low.

The one time I have to use Chrome is T-Mobile's site for some reason

That's true but there's still a difference between power user and spambot.

I'd really like a spam-signup type detector. Like if someone signs up and immediately starts posting or commenting way too much they should be given a few days ban, and if done again - permanently.

I like em all to match usually. OpenSUSE Tumbleweed on the desktop/laptop, Leap on my home server.

Though I didn't run Arch on my server when I did on my personal computers

Their self repair program is a complete joke designed from the ground up to make it unappealing and unfeasible to most people so they can turn around and say they tried but nobody really wants it.

It really depends on the app. Plenty of Android apps have very simple to do premium bypass.
