While it's not exactly a good game, I had a lot of fun with Heroes of Annihilated Empires and enjoyed it even though parts of it can be difficult or clunky and I couldn't even finish it. It was kind of like high fantasy RPG RTS.

The Dungeons series is fun.

Some might not call Mindustry an RTS, but it's similar and a lot of fun.

I also felt Company of Heroes 2 was a good story and had a lot of playability.

Circle Empires again isn't exactly RTS, but is similar and a unique take on the concept.

Also you can't go wrong with most Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, and Halo Wars.

Everything you all are saying can happen in regular relationships too. A person willing to choose an AI likely isn't going to be great at choosing an actual human who is good for them.

In a relationship, the other person could also be manipulative, or it could be one sided, or they can pressure you to only live certain ways, buy certain things. Or they can backstab you and give your private info to others (family that took my SS info from my parents), or pawn your shit, or cheat on you with others. Like everything negative that might come from this could potentially happen in some remotely similar way in a human relationship too.

I've been in and seen others in all kind of relationships that in some ways had these similar negative outcomes.

And I know people who express their same story proudly.

Anecdotes are fun!

Old people also have those same new games and also have the same social media and attention span issues.

Big reason I don't understand the obsession with Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. The game world is empty and just feels like so much wasted space, and a ton of it looks like PS2 worldbuilding.

I would expect that. I could see an episode where he helps literally implement an insurrection and take over, followed by a "we actually did it?" funny moment, then to a sudden change to damning whatever new government before he even really knows who's running it now.

There once was this space, and it was mine.

Offline single player, amd occasional local co-op is all I need.

People's obsession with online play drives all this.

Ah, so assholes trying to define for others what they mean.

Capitalism.

That's why.

No need to read articles.
