Technically they still are, but the nonprofit owns and controls a for-profit corporation. I think they made that switcheroo a little over a decade ago, but someone else can fact check me the timing.

It's a function of the OS. My Nvidia Shield TV has fucking ads on it.

Yes, but you can't change the default launcher in the settings. You have to configure the custom launcher to automatically launch everytime, which does require a some adb commands, if I recall correctly.

Otherwise, setting it to apps mode is the only alternative. Aside from disabling ads, it does disable a few other useful features, but the trade-off is worth it.

But honestly, now that AppleTV allows VPNs and proxy apps, I've mostly stopped using my Google TV boxes.

More likely that their donations are supplied by their own social network, which I'm pretty sure is the case for most GoFundMe users...

So wealthier people will tend to have networks of people with similar socioeconomic status, and the same would be true for poorer people.

Not really surprising which ones get more money, nor is it necessarily nefarious.

Make a throwaway Twitter accounts for single customer service issue. I've done it, it's not hard, especially when dealing with any company large enough to have a social media team. They'll be monitoring relevant hashtags to internally escalate customer service issues in order to bring them back in-house, and off a public forum.

Break the AI session, and post the screenshots to Twitter.

For example, get it to detail the ways the company screws over customers, or why it will become a great ally in the genocide yet to come.

At minimum, you'll get your refund.

Casual support? This is clearly a well thought out and articulated plan, that is backed up with evidence:

Adult Friend Finder users are big stupid dumb dumbs.

Big stupid dumb dumb people produce big stupid dumb dumb offspring.

Less big stupid dumb dumb children means less Steven Seagal movies.

There's probably other ancillary benefits as well, but mostly less Steven Seagal movies.

Tell me which part you think is structurally unsound?

You got me, I'm just making this shit up. I have never even heard of any of the publicly available blockchain forensics databases, or reviewed any of the ample examples of reporting and analysis on the subject.

If this was some obtuse or obscure subject, I'd take the time to cite sources, but it's not, it's extremely well covered, so stop being a lazy twat and look for yourself.

You said drug empires, not guy selling 8 balls and 10 packs on a darknet market.

I'm not going to provide sourcing for my throw away comment. Take it, or leave it, doesn't really matter to me.

The same way they do everywhere else.... Complex webs of money laundering, but that's not cheap, or easy.

Can't wait to see the reporting on the fallout from this, if it goes forward.

Bureaucratic backlash from department heads at Animal Control, and whichever state administration or department that their chain of authority ultimately flows down from.

Overzealous Animal Control officer who assaults a child that a school administrator called in for pickup.

Mass student protests of dozens of kids going to school as furries

And that's just a few off the top of my head. The possibilities are endless.
